I am in the process of upgrading  Ariel's collar from a  Boots & Barkley to a more sassier sophisticated one but have you seen the assortment that is out there? Oh, my dog! There are so many cute styles and colors it is hard to choose which one. Here are just a few choices  we may or may not be deciding from

This  Cupcake Collar particularly caught my attention because I love Cupcakes and this would go great with her Pet Fetch ID Tag . So this may be just the one I'm looking for. Hope you had fun looking at collars, I just love to shop for Ariel.

I don't blog just for free products

Contrary to what non-bloggers think, Most of us that blog do not do it for free products.
 I  blog because I want to know what the best products that are out there and to do that I ask companies for things either for little or no cost and maybe a contest as a perk.   
I'm like you I want to give my furkid the best  and I do research and ask  questions and look for reviews from other pet guardians, but I am more of a hands on person, I need to see, feel and have an actual physical product in my hand  to see how well it holds up and is it suitable to fit the needs of both my furkid and myself. I will review anything pet related and give my honest thoughts, yes getting a product sent to me is a perk and I appreciate it, but I'm not doing this just to get free stuff. I want to be able to inform others out there what is the best for their particular needs when it comes to taking care of their furry family.

Did you know  The American Humane Association estimates over 10 million dogs and cats are lost or stolen in the U.S. every year?  One in three pets will become lost at some point during their life.

I would be devasted if my furkids were ever lost, they are part of my family and  I love them just as much as  I do my human kids.  Veterinarians  do recommend getting your furkid  micro-chipped, yes that is an excellent idea, but for some, it can be  unaffordable and   then alternative methods are used  to keep an identification on their furkids,

I'm not in no way discouraging   anyone not to get micro-chipping done or a pet ID tag, I would, however, like to introduce to you Pet Fetch Smart ID Tag this unique emoji tag comes with a pre-engraved number that you register online and with a few simple steps your ID number is registered along with your name, address, and phone number .
In the event that your cat or dog becomes lost, all the person who found them has to do is go to Pet Fetch ID.com input the number and you get an email notification and  just knowing  that is peace of mind for me.  I just love these tags, they are so modern and fun for your furkid to wear

Summer is here and kids and adults are looking for ways to cool off, The chiming of the Ice Cream truck has kids running to get their hands on sweet treats, Or you could be waiting for homemade popsicles to freeze either way you are cooling off and having fun. How our dog helped with low blood sugar

We all know that dogs are amazing and have been trained to detect cancer, seek out drugs and even find someone that has passed away. But what if you get a dog that did not have any training and by chance, she comes into your life and knows and senses something is not quite right? Ariel came into our lives four years ago and by then my husband had already been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes,But still to no avail did we have it under control and we went back and forth with the insurance company to get him an affordable insulin, with several trial errors with his medication and bad readings with a glucose meter, we went through several of those before we found the right one that was easy to use and to understand. One day Hubby was shaking, feeling light-headed and dizzy and Ariel not understanding what was going on jumped up in his lap and started to lick his hands and arms, I went over to move her and she gave me a look to help him , I went to get his glucose meter and prepped his finger to prick it for the test and nothing would come out, I tried finger number 2 and I got enough out to get a reading ,his blood sugar level was 20, I immediately got on the phone with the Dr and told him what was going on, He suggested that I get him some orange juice and glucose tabs.during this time not once did Ariel leave his side and she continued with the licking until I checked his glucose levels again and they increased. So from now on when she starts paying extra attention to him I know that something is not quite right, Now we have him on insulin and his medication has been straightened out but not always a guarantee to keep his glucose levels from either spiking too high or dropping too low.I check his levels 3 times a day and they are consistent most of the but there are days that it is off. He gets so much love and devotion from Ariel she is a life saver.

Basic Furkid First Aid Kit

With Summer here that means you and your furkid will be outside more often, So what do you do when they get hurt and you can't get to a vet right away? If you feel confident do some basic #FirstAid then you will need to have a kit on hand. Here is just a start of what you will need to have on hand in your home and auto.

 Sterile gauze pads (3″ x 3″ and 2″ X 2″) and gauze bandage rolls (1″ and 2″)
* First-aid adhesive tape, 1″ roll
* Cotton swabs (Q-tips®)
* Tweezers
* Scissors
* Plastic freezer/sandwich bags
* Small bottle of 3% hydrogen peroxide
* Styptic pencil or cornstarch (stems blood flow from minor cuts)
* Antibacterial ointment
* Antiseptic cleansing wipes
* #Kaopectate® or Pepto-Bismol®
* A current pet first-aid book
* Eyewash
* Eyedropper
* Mineral oil (a lubricant and laxative when given by mouth)
* Digital or rectal thermometer in a plastic case
* Leather work gloves (to protect you from being bitten)
* Latex gloves
* Leash
* Thin rope
* Splint materials (tongue depressor, 12-inch wooden ruler or thick magazine)

Place the contents in a plastic storage box, tackle box or coffee can with lid.

Clothe or Not to Clothe , Yes or No?

Many pet parents are on the fence of whether or not to buy clothes for their fur-child, I get it, You see so many cute outfits, some are for aesthetic  reasons such being your furkid has little to no fur such as the Chinese Crested or  it could be cold outside so you want to put a sweater  on them, I admit I'm guilty of dressing up Ariel, I was a little reserved about putting a dress or even a sweater on her. That is until I saw the apparel section  from  Petco Apparel, I was a previous content writer for another blog and was approached by a #PR person that at the time was working with  them and asked if I wanted to be a part of their  program where I get to test out clothes and toys for my dog, Of course I said yes, so each Holiday I received  outfits and toys. Oh, My Dog! I  was not sure Ariel would go along with this, but she did and had no problem with whatever was put on her. If ever asked again by Petco to have my furkid wear their clothes would I? Yes, I would. Some people think it is wrong and cruel, Well I'm sorry to say this but I don't and if Ariel did not want to and resisted  I would stop and never make her wear dresses or sweaters again. 

Pool Day

I love finding treasure and what not along the road, The other day I found this little wading pool that was being tossed with the weekly garbage, My first thought would be a cute little garden in the back of the yard, but upon closer inspection I noticed that it had bone shaped designs on the bottom, How perfect would it be for Ariel to cool off in with the #Florida heat. I brought it home and it had one tiny hole, nothing a little duct tape could not fix and voila, #DoggiePool . Ariel just loves it

Nice Jerky Bites Review

Ariel recently received a bag in the mail from, I and Love and You Holistic Pet Food , she knew that the mailer was for her, she was jumping and barking with anticipation as I was opening the package , When I got it open the aroma of the  Chicken and Duck Recipe of the Nice Jerky bites smelled delicious no wonder she was excited. Kinda makes me wish I was a dog to enjoy these tasty treats. I know she sure did and they are good for her too.

Simple and Frugal Toy Storage Solutions

If your furkid is anything Ariel, then they probably have a lot of toys, most of them just lying around after being pulled out of where they are kept, When it comes time to clean up and put them away, you don't want a boring storage bin do you? I wanted to find something that went with my decor  So  I went to my local  Dollar Tree Store, there they have many traditional and non-traditional storage bins,  I went with the non-traditional and bought a colorful basket, it holds all of her toys and it goes very well with the theme in the house. Ariel's Favorite Snacks

Ariel just loves Pup-Peroni Dog Snacks  Just this past month we shared a cute photo of her on J.G Wentworth Facebook page of her closely imitating one of their commercials, they liked it so much that they happily sent her a bag of her favorite treats.  I like the fact that Pup-Peroni Dog snacks are made with beef as the first ingredient.She gets so excited when she hears the closet door because she knows that is where they are kept, Her tail wags so fast and she makes a cute little bark as to say " Okay Mom give me one now. What are your fur-kids favorite snacks?

Future so bright I got to wear shades.

In our family everyone wears glasses, so one day we saw these cool looking shades and put them on Ariel, She stood very still and did not even attempt to take them off, ever since that day, I have found various glasses that I thought would look adorable on Ariel, Before you say anything, she did not mind and if she did I would not force her or cause any stress for her . My Favorite Groomer

In the past,  my HuMom had some trouble finding me a groomer that she and I both liked, that is until one day we were talking to other dog mom's and they all suggested to us to check out  Ms. Lisa over at Brooksville Dog Groomers, So the next day my HuMom drove over there to check it out, She must of liked what she saw because she made an appointment for me. We were greeted with friendly faces and a very affectionate feline. I love this place and so does my HuMom. I give it 5 paws. Here is a link to their Facebook Pet Grooming page.
